MI:RNA join Leap Ventures Accelerator

In March, the MI:RNA team were delighted to win a place on the Leap Ventures accelerator, the top PetTech accelerator program in the world. They were chosen from over 200 applicants to join a 6 strong Cohort for a 12-week intensive program including two weeks in person in the USA. 

Leap Ventures (leapventurestudio.com) consists of three companies working in tandem to help innovative Companion Animal startup businesses to take the next growth steps. MIR:RNA’s group includes Mars Inc Petcare, R/GA Ventures and Michelson Found Animals.

Dr Eve Hanks, CEO & Founder of MI:RNA Diagnostics, had this to say after the first phase of the program where she and Dr Robert Coultous, co-founder and CTO, spent time in Austin, Texas:

“We had an excellent experience spending a week in person with our new contacts at Leap for the start of the Leap Accelerator program. Rob and I attended together, and we were thoroughly impressed with the schedule and the amount of time each participant was given to network with mentors and professional contacts and we loved the quality of the training and care that was taken to understand our business in more detail.” 

As well as the business mentorship, training and the opportunity to make new contacts and networks for the future, the MI:RNA team will also receive equity funding from Leap Ventures.  The team are excited for the amazing benefits the program will bring and are looking forward to the final week in Nashville, Tennessee with the climatic showcasing 'Demo day' event!
