About the Role

SeaDyes are seeking a highly motivated and creative Innovation Intern to support their research and development team in sustainable textile dyeing. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment working at the intersection of sustainability, science, and the textile industry.

The intern will assist in the development of SeaDyes' application and fixation protocols on selected fibres, working alongside our technical team to establish commercial testing protocols and benchmarks with industry partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the research and development of non-toxic dyeing protocols and application methods.

  • Conduct lab trials and experiments to test dye formulations and achieve industry standards.

  • Collaborate with the innovation team to improve and scale sustainable dyeing processes.

  • Prepare a range of textile samples for testing in laboratory and industrial environments.

  • Maintain accurate records, including a detailed lab book and experiment documentation.

  • Analyze data and prepare reports to support ongoing research projects.

  • Ensure a tidy and clean lab environment and equipment maintenance.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in sustainable textiles and dyes.

  • Support cross-functional teams, including product development, business planning, and marketing.
