The Seaweed Academy’s one-week intensive course is designed to provide attendees with an in-depth understanding of the seaweed industry’s entire value chain.

• Lab Visits: Attendees will have the opportunity to visit labs and gain insight and experience in the field and at the farm (this is weather dependent).
  

• Deep-Dive into the Value Chain: The course will cover the entire value chain, from production to distribution, to help attendees gain a comprehensive understanding of the industry.

Our one-week intensive course is designed for those who are interested in the seaweed industry and are keen to expand and deepen their knowledge of the sector.
You will have the opportunity to be taught by our experts who are at the forefront of industry research covering a wide range of topics from industry overviews, the cultivation cycle, markets, economics, and licencing.
You will also have the opportunity to have a guided tour of the Culture Collective of Algae and Protozoa, our commercial Seaweed Nursery, and our research IMTA farm (weather dependent) as well as receive guest lectures from industry specialists.
Our course is accredited by the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science, and Technology (IMarEST). Upon completion of the course and a short exam, you can receive an IMarEST accredited certificate.
