The IBioIC Skills team are hosting a two-day technical CPD learning event on bioprocess costing from 4th to 5th February 2025. This comprehensive course, led by Dr. Ian Archer, CEO of BioConnect Innovation Centre, Monaghan, Ireland, will equip participants with the skills to create a cost model before stepping into the lab.

Dr. Archer is renowned for his leadership in biotechnology and his dedication to driving innovation within the bioeconomy sector. As CEO, he collaborates with local and international partners to foster development and growth in the industry, making him an ideal mentor for this program.

Learning Objectives:

• Understand the cost model for a project

• Perform basic cost modelling

• Use cost modelling to guide research and development

• Gain insight into investment decision-making processes
