Caroline Kewney
Caroline joined the commercial team at IBioIC as Senior Business Engagement Manager in April 2020, bringing over 25 years of biotechnology industry experience to the team. Her expertise lies in providing biosafety testing, process validation and biomanufacturing support to researchers, small biotech companies and large pharma in their quest to develop novel biopharmaceuticals at all stages of their journey from R&D, through clinical trials and onto market.
Caroline originally trained as a virologist, before moving into commercial roles in Sales & Marketing, Business Development, and Client/Project Management within a range of contract testing organisations within Scotland, including BioReliance, BioOutsource and SGS, as well as a period relocating to the US to set a subsidiary of Q-One Biotech to serve US and Canadian customers. She has extensive experience supporting a range of clients globally and working closely with regulatory bodies across European, Asian and US markets.
Caroline graduated from the University of Glasgow with a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry and a Masters in biotechnology researching retroviral vector biomanufacturing and biosafety testing. She also has a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from The Open University. She is married with two children and interests include health and fitness, cycling, and yoga.
