Alex Baxter

Alex joined IBioIC as a laboratory trainee at the FlexBio facility in June of 2024, where he assists in lab maintenance and ongoing projects predominantly related to downstream processing. Alex is in his third year at Newcastle University studying an MSci in Biochemistry with industrial placement. Upon completing his placement at FlexBio in August 2025, he will return for his final two years of university in September 2025.

Alex is eager to be trained in using relevant complex bioprocessing machinery and cultivating professional connections in the biotechnology industry, placing him in good stead for pursuing a future career in the Biochemical industry.

In his spare time, Alex enjoys multiple sports including football, taekwondo, and climbing. He is also an avid musician and can be found enjoying local live music across many venues in Edinburgh.
