At the event, you will learn how Innovate UK is supporting innovation across the industry. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions directly to expert innovation leads at Innovate UK and seek guidance around partnering and funding opportunities from Innovate UK KTN.

Who is the event for?

Academics, RTOs, and businesses of all sizes from the materials & manufacturing innovation community (including bio-based and chemistry) are all encouraged to attend.

If you are applying for funding from upcoming collaborative research & development (CR&D) competitions and are seeking to find partners, you will benefit from the event. In this case, we recommend that you have attended the respective competition briefing webinar (or recording) first before attending this in-person event. See the two programme web pages below for details.

Background

To be internationally competitive it is imperative for UK materials and manufacturing to be net zero and resource efficient, resilient and responsive, and technologically advanced and digital. The UK has clear potential to become a world-class destination of choice for advanced low-carbon manufacturing.

To reimagine materials and manufacturing together and to realise this vision, Innovate UK has launched two programmes:

  1. Resource efficiency for manufacturing and materials (REforMM)

  2. Sustainable bio-based materials and manufacture

You will learn more about these programmes at the event.
