Scotland’s extensive marine bioresources present a tremendous opportunity to develop sustainable pathways and value chains to deliver the products, processes and energy that form part of our daily lives.
The Bioeconomy Cluster Builder and the Blue Economy Cluster Builder are pleased to collaborate on a joint workshop focussing on industrial applications of marine biomass.
This two-hour event will provide an opportunity for stakeholders to consider biotechnology routes to marine biomass valorisation in three core areas:
Microalgae
Seaweed
Fish aquaculture co-products
Following keynote presentations from thought leaders and industry challenge holders, participants will be invited to join themed breakout rooms to stimulate discussion and facilitate connections. Outputs from the breakout spaces will be analysed to identify opportunities for further exploration and development.
