On 25 September, 2018, the first ECP Summer Summit will take place in Dusseldorf in the headquarters of Henkel. This is the summer event of European Chemistry Partnering which takes place every year in February in Frankfurt am Main.

The format of the ECP will be a keynote presentation followed by a series of short pitches by the companies introducing themselves, a series 20-minute partnering discussions on innovations in chemical production and changes in chemical value chains. The event will be rounded off with a final discussion panel and there will be an exhibit accompanying the presentations and partnering meetings.

The partnering discussions are agreed in advance among the participants. In addition, the companies introduce themselves in short pitches. The day is accompanied by an exhibition. The frame of the partnering is a keynote presentation and a final discussion panel.

The ECP is an industry speed dating service for the chemical industry and its diverse user industries, e.g. the plastics, food, construction, automotive, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, textile, consumer goods industries. 97% of all products contain at least one chemical process step: renewable raw materials, enzymes, industrial biotechnology, new processes, products from residues, digitization, etc. change the chemical value creation. The change ranges from the purchasing logistics to the production up to marketing and sales.

The interdisciplinary exchange is gaining importance. At the ECP an international chemistry community is growing together, which wants enhance more innovations from the existing ones. The participants come from large companies, medium-sized companies and young growth companies. Startup companies especially use the marketplace to talk to investors and established companies about capitalization and cooperation. Service companies and qualified consulting companies in the chemical industry complement participants.
