On 11 March 2021 the CLIB International Conference 2021 will start as a virtual event series. The title “Biotechnology 2021: Advancing into a decade of sustainability” stresses the fact that 2021 is the first year in a decade which aims to see big advances in sustainability.
All sessions of the CIC2021 event series, we will highlight and discuss with you various aspects of this transformation towards more sustainability. For this purpose, the Cluster industrial biotechnology, CLIB, will host 3 digital sessions of about 3 hours each.
The conference will discuss trends and developments for a sustainable future economy, based on biogenic, renewable, and recycled carbon. Based on the foundations built in the past decades, this sustainable economy can now be realised with new technological advancements, supporting regulations, and a change in our way of living.
The conference will shed light on the role of biotechnology in this bigger picture. The first part of the CIC2021 Event Series will cover the food & feed market and current developments in improving the quality of our protein sources. On the other days, the utilisation of carbon-rich gases (e.g. CO2 or biogas) and the production of aromatics from biomass and the utilisation of carbon-rich gases (e.g. CO2 or biogas) will be discussed.
