Ask a Biotech Specialist

IBioIC's Technical Director, Ian Archer, will be live on Twitter between 10am - 11am on Friday 7 October to answer your questions about all things Biotechnology.

What is biotechnology? What sort of people work in biotechnology, and what career options are there? How is biotechnology benefitting everyone right now, and what more could it do in the future?

Whether you're a student or pupil, an early career scientist in another field, looking to retrain, interested in finding out what biotech solutions there are right now that could benefit you or your business, or you just want to know more about what Biotechnology is, pose your questions to IBioIC's resident guru.

Dr Ian Archer is IBioIC’s Technical Director. Ian is tasked with shaping IBioIC's strategy and implanting the business plan for the centre. Specifically, he identifies mechanisms, resources, and techniques for solving industry problems through biotechnology.
Ian received his degree and PhD in Chemistry from Imperial College, London, and he is an Honorary Lecturer in the School of Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh.

Submit your questions on Twitter to @Leithgooner between 10am and 11am on Friday 7 October.
