2021 Holyrood Elections Science Hustings

This hustings event will give the scientific community and members of the public the opportunity to quiz the political parties.

About this event

The Royal Society of Edinburgh, Royal Society of Chemistry, Institute of Physics and Royal Society of Biology invite you to the 2021 Holyrood Elections Science Hustings.

As we look ahead to the 2021 Holyrood elections against the backdrop of the pandemic the role of science has rarely been more important to society.

This hustings event will give the scientific community and members of the public the opportunity to quiz the political parties on what steps they will take to put science at the forefront of their work in the Scottish Parliament over the next term.

The event will be chaired by the campaigner and writer Talat Yaqoob FRSE and we will be joined by candidates from across the political parties in Scotland.

Covering the topics that matter most to the scientific community, event attendees will be able to put their questions directly to the party spokespeople.

This event will take place on Zoom, and joining instructions will be shared closer to the event date.

The event will also be recorded and the recording will be shared via YouTube.
