As part of their rapid expansion, they are seeking a talented professional to help grow their customer base, develop new markets, and nurture existing partnerships.
What Does the Role Entail?
As Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving sales of Xias Bio’s innovative protein solutions. Reporting directly to the Director of Business Development, your responsibilities will include:
Identifying new opportunities: You’ll work to identify, qualify, and close licensing sales, from ready-made proteins to bespoke development projects.
Building lasting relationships: Acting as the primary point of contact for our clients, you will ensure their needs are met and help secure long-term partnerships.
Collaboration with R&D: Working closely with our R&D team, you’ll facilitate the successful delivery of tailored protein solutions to our clients.
Market research and lead generation: Using a mix of online tools, client visits, and global conferences, you will develop new leads and drive business growth.
This role offers the perfect mix of scientific engagement and strategic sales. You will have the chance to meet key decision-makers in leading cosmetic and personal care companies, helping them solve complex challenges through innovative protein technology.
Who Should Apply?
Xias Bio are looking for a highly motivated self-starter with a solid scientific background—an MSc in a science discipline (or equivalent) is required. Sales experience is not essential, as full training will be provided, but any consultative sales or customer management experience would be an asset. The ideal candidate is someone who is eager to learn, comfortable working independently, and has a passion for connecting scientific innovation with commercial success.
You’ll also need:
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
An interest in market research and the ability to identify new opportunities.
A clean driving license and willingness to travel to meet clients and attend global conferences.
