Following her undergraduate degree, Jennifer then joined the Doctoral Training Centre at the University of Glasgow, where she was awarded an MRes in Cell and Proteomic Technologies. Within the DTC she went on to complete a CASE PhD with Thermo Scientific in the development of metabolomics methodologies to investigate microbial interactions within dual-species biofilms, in 2017.  She then worked on an industry-led post-doctoral project between Glasgow Polyomics and Ingenza Ltd. in the development of real-time metabolomics technologies for synthetic biology applications.

In her spare time, Jennifer is an avid mountain biker and snowboarder. When she is not throwing herself down hills, she can be found walking up them, socialising with friends and finding new places to explore.
