Rachel Clark

Rachel joined IBioIC in September 2018 as Skills Programme Manager, responsible for developing and administering the educational programmes run by IBioIC and its partner institutions.
Rachel joined the Centre from Research and Knowledge Exchange Services, University of Strathclyde, where she was responsible for identifying and supporting ways for businesses, organisations and the public to engage with the University.  This was facilitated primarily through designing and managing events and outreach projects to start a dialogue between the individuals and groups.
Rachel came to the Strathclyde in 2001 to undertake a PhD in medicinal chemistry and stayed on in the Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences (SIPBS) to complete six years of postdoctoral research in the field of computational chemistry and drug discovery.  From 2007 she managed the SULSA-funded Drug Discovery Portal, then worked in the SIPBS Knowledge Exchange Hub where she had a Business Development role.
