This exciting consultancy role offers the opportunity to lead a mini business, owning both business development and driving lean operations. You’ll have overall responsibility for client management, growing the business and shaping the future of the product and the service.

The Job

  • You’ll drive the business strategy from existing client management to business development through to best practice operational delivery.
  • Through consultation and rapport building with clients at all levels, you will gain an in depth understanding of our customers’ needs and processes.
  • You’ll manage effective implementations of our asset management software both virtually and on-site as well as getting your sleeves rolled up to support customers on a day to day basis.
  • You’ll seek opportunities to deliver cost savings on equipment maintenance contracts through tender and negotiation with suppliers.
  • You’ll use your expert knowledge to aid the in house development of our IT solution and service.

Experience and Skills

  • This unique role is a fantastic opportunity for the right ambitious person looking to grow their career. You’ll have a min of 5 years’ experience in an operational or commercial background, your drive combined with our support will ensure any experience you don’t have will soon become a strength.
  • Proven analytical skills allow you to size up any situation in order to define strategies and great outcomes.
  • Ability to actively identify, develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships, able to facilitate consultative discussions.
  • Delivering projects is 2nd nature to you. You be able to pivot from objectives to milestones and have the self-discipline to deliver great results.
  • You’ll have evident skills in influencing, communicating effectively and persuasively to a range of audiences, both internally and externally.
  • Continuous improvement will be part of your DNA. You’ll thrive on delivering creative, lean solutions that improve efficiency and productivity.
  • You will be an adaptable, confident and an energetic part of the wider team.
  • Your experience might easily be any of the following, but not limited to: study director, lab manager, account manager, operations manager, project manager, senior scientist, scientific sales, field application specialist.
