The Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN) is hosting a major event in early autumn to showcase the UK’s excellence in chemical sciences and industrial biotechnology (IB) and to demonstrate how these sectors are helping to enable growth in key UK supply chains through innovation.

Investment is crucial to the development of new technologies, so as part of this event KTN, working in partnership with BioVale, will be providing an opportunity for entrepreneurs and investors to gain valuable insights and form new business relationships via a new Pitch Event.

Apply by 19th July for your chance to:

• Live pitch to investors who are interested in investing in chemical and/or IB processes that help us move towards a circular bioeconomy
• Receive funded pitch training from KTN
• Raise your company profile at a high-profile, national conference
• Win free registration to the main Chemistry and Industrial Biotechnology Showcase 2017 event

Who should apply?

The Chemistry and Industrial Biotechnology for a Circular Bioeconomy Pitch Event is open to UK companies who are seeking investment (from seed through to post revenue) and who are developing chemical or bio-based technologies that support the move towards a circular bio-economy. Examples of eligible technologies could include (but are not restricted to) valorisation of food waste, converting feedstocks into biobased materials, or conversion of waste products into high value chemicals.
