For the first-time ever, the BIO World Congress is heading to the Midwest. To get back to the roots of biotechnology, the world’s largest conference on industrial biotechnology will also include programming on biotechnology in food and agriculture.

The 2019 BIO World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology and AgTech will take place at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, Iowa, July 8-11.

Iowa is the number one producer of ethanol, the top producer of corn and a top-producing biomass state. From biotech crops, to feedstocks, to biofuel and ethanol production, Iowa and the Midwest is where many biotechnology innovations get their start.

This year’s BIO World Congress will include new programming to highlight bitoech innovations across the industrial and environment and food and agriculture sectors.

Also new to this year’s event:

• Bioeconomy Tours. Iowa and the mid-western region are home to many of the companies, universities and research facilities that are at the forefront of biotechnology innovation. Kicking off the event on Monday morning (July 8), attendees will get the opportunity to go on tours of select campuses and facilities, learning about the impressive work that is being done in the region to fuel and feed the world. Don’t miss the chance to participate in these behind-the-scenes tours at the 2019 BIO World Congress.
• Start-Up Stadium. Start-Up Stadium provides emerging GreenTech companies the opportunity to present in a formal setting to investors, analysts and strategists across the value chain. We’ll have a panel of judges, prizes awarded and more. There is still time to be a part of the action in Des Moines. Apply to participate in Start-Up Stadium today.
• New Business Opportunities. BIO has been busy designing a new floorplan that is the hub of Partnering, Exhibits, Start-Ups and Networking at the Iowa Events Center’s Hy-Vee Hall in Downton Des Moines. Companies and researchers looking to showcase their latest product or breakthrough will have options for how they want to be featured on the exhibit floor. Be sure to check out the exhibit options and sign-up to receive a copy of the floorplan today!

Of course, BIO’s One-on-one Partnering will be prominently featured at #BIOWC19. Through BIO’s One-on-One Partnering, attendees can request meetings, message potential partners pre- and post-World Congress and create company profiles to showcase your company’s mission or latest breakthrough.
