WE’RE REACHING A TIPPING POINT IN THE BIOBASED ECONOMY

'While it’s difficult to predict where innovation will take us, the biobased economy is a measurable percentage of overall U.S. productivity.'

In a recent piece for Biofuels Digest, BIO’s Executive Vice President for Industrial and Environmental Section, Brent Erickson argues that the biobased economy is at a tipping point. With an estimated $355.28 billion in global economic value, Erickson dives into the biobased economy’s impact to date and the U.S. federal and state policies that must be addressed to keep up with the industry’s rapid growth.

And while it’s difficult to predict where innovation will take us, the biobased economy is a measurable percentage of overall U.S. productivity.

The biobased economy will be a key topic discussed at the 2018 BIO World Congress in Philadelphia, July 16-19, 2018.

Attendees of World Congress will have access to BIO’s One-On-One Partnering, allowing them to communicate directly with prospective biotech investors and senior business and scientific management executives. Don’t miss the opportunity to partner with others in the industry at the world’s largest conference on industrial biotechnology. Register to attend today!
